where The Wanderer
is
parked at Navarre Beach Campground
about two miles
from our daughter-in-law and granddaughters' home.
A busy week it has been with pre-graduation events for our
oldest granddaughter, Alison, who will graduate from high school next Saturday. After the National Honor Society recognition ceremony and Awards
Ceremony, we were given a pass on the Band Award’s program. But we will be
attending Baccalaureate Service on Monday evening; and, of course, graduation.
And, yes, there will be photos!
Little sister, Camille, recently turned Sweet 16,
so we celebrated at the Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar.
Wherever we are, if Aggies are in the vicinity, we will
find them (especially if they are College Station grown.) We
found Mike and Valerie Thompson at Vin’tij Wine Boutique in Destin (which we highly recommend for wonderful fresh seafood and excellent wine choices)
Mike
graduated from A&M Consolidated High School a year after Captain; Valerie a few years later. You may be familiar with their Thompson 31Fifty Pinot Noir wine out of
Sonoma (If
not, you should be if you enjoy a fine Pinot.)
We ended the week at Juana’s,
where we enjoyed the eclectic music of Coconut Radio.
In spite of the heat, humidity and storms, it is a great
time to be in the Florida panhandle.
