And just like that

our “little one” is all grown up!

It was bittersweet as we watched with pride as Camille graduated high school summa cum laude. At the same time, she was dancing in the demanding pre-professional program with the Northwest Florida Ballet Company.

We can’t adequately describe her talent and grace, so we are sharing this video of her last solo performance in the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.

We have a bit of melancholy that we will no longer see her perform in The Nutcracker and other ballets. We are excited that she will be dancing in a new venue closer to our home!

Camille will be studying dance and French at Butler University in Indianapolis.

It has been a whirlwind of activity these past few weeks with her 18th birthday celebration, final dance performances, award ceremony, baccalaureate service and graduation. And it didn’t end with graduation; surrounded by family and friends, Camille was baptized by her pastor and her Uncle Brian.

It was the perfect finale to an exciting and blessed time of celebration.

The Wanderer is now headed home where she will get a thorough cleaning and a bit of a rest before going out again.
