Being home for about 2 ½ months, we are getting the
itch to be on the road again. It is taking all our willpower to not put the
paint brush down,
load The Wanderer,
lock the house and head out.
We are close to having the master bedroom renovation
completed so we will stay put for a little while longer. The painting should be
completed by the end of the week.
Captain has the new headboard built and ready for the
final assembly.
ABN has almost finished painting the furniture. A virtual
tour is coming soon!
With the unusually warm winter we have gotten a head
start on the spring outdoor cleanup (most of this is trimmings
from that Peggy Martin Rose we have told you about.)
Since we will be home this spring we might as well have a
spring garden (so says ABN.)
Beets are sprouting,
lettuce has been planted
and spinach will be sowed in a couple of weeks.
The best news of all, Mellow
Mushroom opened today! Located just one block from our house, it is inside
the former Coca Cola plant next to Dry Ground Brewery (Do
we need to tell you, this is a favorite hangout?). An ice cream shop is scheduled to open in the
same building on March 1. With all of Captain’s favorite foods just a few steps
away, well let’s just say, it soothes the itch.
Hope you friends in the northeast are keeping warm, those
on the west coast are dry and you in the southwest are counting your blessings.
